The End of an Anchor

Hey there...

Well hmm this pretty much.. a "lost" post so to speak.. I got here so fast that I didn't really get a chance to talk something.. Well yeah.. after I left Sg.. I did go to Canada but before I was on that horrid 18 hour flight... I spent a week back home in KK ..



Well.. I arrived at KK and my mood was kinda up and down.. On one side.. I was still basking in the afterglow of that farewell which was really touching for me and I was glad it went so well .. and was just happy so many had come and also everyone was there happy, there was no drama yea :) ..But I also felt horrible about the whole issue of being gone yea? Well yeah this is before I made my peace right hahah...

Anyway well 1st thing was I met up with AeA or Eboy.. which is his real name.. its a Kadazan name so yeah it sounds very weird if you look at in English right.. Went to his place to stay hahah.. anyway.. here's a vid with him and me just on the road and the fate of some raspberry cookies hahah :)

I also got to meet up with Su yea.. I would say.. I really just have two very close friends left in KK.. Everyone else left town or just well .. "disappeared".. Su being the 2nd one.. who well ... is the friend that Han Ming and Clarence reminded me of actually.. well if AeA was the friend who I knew I could always joke around and have fun with.. then Su would have been.. the friend I knew I could always depend and talk to yea? The steady friend I would say hahah... yeah.. he was still the same hahah.. And yeah it was great to see that :) He and AeA are graduates as of now? I'm still playing catch up but anyway yea on my last night .. he took me out and we went to a place one of our old classmate was working.. and wow he just kept ordering for me.. At the end of the night.. it was we had downed 6 stouts and 2 jugs of Stella. It was very nice of him considering we hadn't seen each other for so long yea.. Suffice to say, yeah it was great being able to catch up with him before leaving yea :)

I also met up with some old Primary sch friends... and well.. it was kind of .. sad? You see... here is irony for you.. I left this small "humble" town to go into Singapore right? I had thought Sg would be sleazy and stuff.. but here's the thing.. when I came back to KK... it was the other way around.. KK... well to my friends.. had become sleaze central... I had a friend who ran away from a shotgun marriage.. friends just sleeping with other friends loved ones... I guess the saddest story to me .. was the account of what had happened to one of my early best friends... My 1st real friend is Asia actually.. he was this huge guy.. who .. well always protected me and stuff.. I guess during the Secondary years we went to different schools and slowly drifted apart.. All the sudden I hear his name and he's on E ... and dying from addiction? I dont know.. it was sad to hear what happened to some of us after high school yea...



And hahah I met up with Karen too :) When I went in her car she was speaking with a very different accent or voice.. I seriously couldn't recognize the voice if she was on the phone. Maybe it was KL? I dont know hahah .. it was very.. luan? hahah.. yeah anyway.. we went to eat some KK food mwahah:) Yeah she was pretty much the same wild friend from the secondary school days.. though ... more world-weary... It was kind of sad to hear how her best friend from the days we were all still in the same circle of friends treated her now... It's one of those kind of things you hear and think that can't really happen? It was very ridiculous and just evil... It was nice talking about the days when AeA still had a crush on her hahah.. Went to a get a drink after that before she sent me home.. and yeah haha... she had a test the nxt morning but yeah haha.. that was so her :)



Well I went to 1 Borneo in KK.. the new mall? Well went in and it was a bit of a rude awakening for me.. haha.. well saw alot of Sg shops there .. there was Fish and Co.. IP Zone!?! .. Mini Toons which hahah my friends asked why I would want to head there.. and haha I showed them the candy section and yeah explained it was .. a frequent haunt at Sg :) For moment it seemed like.. my KK friends had finally coem to Sg ;) That's the one thing I regret.. that we never got a chance to hang out there... I know they would have loved it :)

I realize now.. that alot of how I am.. I learn from my friends.. I'm a very shy person actually ... the painfully shy type .. during secondary school.. I could never speak more than two sentences to girls I didn't know.. Even when say I was alone with a classmate but because we never spoke in class.. I would just .. zone out and yeah.. I think you get the point... Maybe it was because I couldn't speak Hakka but well I realize now .. becoming friends with AeA . I started to talk .. Yeah I started to talk smack and crap with him too.. learned from him maybe?


I'll always think two words whenever I see this pic... poor dog :D

With Ivan.. haha.. the 1st 20 pool games.. it was all very polite and cordial.. like..wow.. that was a nice shot and than followed by that tap on the pool table.. then after awhile haha I remembered I started talking smack about his game and then well haha pool became more than a game about sticks and balls after that hahah :) Yeah Sg with everyone.. it was when I really was starting to bother to talk.. since everyone was pretty nice right?

I have to say thanks to AeA too.. yeah.. beside being able to stay at his place and stuff.. It was really nice to come back and find things were just as we had left off.. and that kind of feeling knowing that whatever happened we would still be friends was great.. It gave me hope for what would happen after Canada , for Kk and Sg too yea... that distance and time would just be.. two words.. when I return yea :) ... 5 years later and here we are hahah :)

Well I was at the airport.. and had my last meal in Asia for awhile.. which was haha prata :) And it was pretty good haha.. After that, I messaged some of them that I was finally heading out of KK ... Also at Hong Kong... I met a familar face... Ms Gail! hahah ... I can't begin to tell you how glad I felt to see a familar face in the otherside of the world there with me.. It really made me felt the world was a smaller place yea.. Talked with her for a long bit.. she is very longwinded hahaha.. and finally after that went off on the plane to Vancouver ...
