Hmm where to start... well lets see 1st off this return trip was really last minute yea & I had thought that I wouldnt get another chance to head back home this year already. Well yeah I'm glad I got to go even if it was on buisness yea lols.

Well yeah hmm my last trip back I felt alright & wasnt too excited.. Hmm this trip it was pouring as I got into the plane & we were in the plane for around 40 minutes delayed for take-off because the bad weather. I always seem to head back to KK with bad weather... Anyways feelings going there was well, I was still pretty much trying to wrap things up at S'pore since I had some stuff to take care yea. The flight I wasn't worried like last time, I would have to say things overall for this trip felt a sense of easiness & calmness yea :D

1st Day: Away/Back Home

So yeah once again the flight was around 2 hours20 minutes++ Weather was raining heavily when I landed yea, 1st thing was to go get a Digi num to contact every1... Tho the fact was that I landed on a Saturday at 6pm. I mean this was KK, if you didnt have a car you were screwed alright lols, and well the buses were still unreliable as the weather was so bad, maybe the bus drivers wouldnt feel like working yea. Hmm so yeah AeA couldnt get out since no car... Well I unpacked my stuff at my uncle's place & got to eat at Kim Fah's :)


Where It All Began :D

After dinner I went back home while waiting for Su & Kenneth yea... It was really good seeing them again. Good timing since I was in need of a good friend at that time, and yeah glad they came out & picked my ass up yea. They were nice hahah, took me around town to see the new sights of KK that night.

1st place I went to was City Mall which was actually near the place I used to live X.X . Well hmm not much going on there, there was alot of cafes to say the least lols. After that went over to Tanjung Aru to look around, hmm hahaha yeah it's been awhile since being in a friends' car driving around lols. There's always a sense of freedom driving around at night with friends yea :D A nice break from the daily grind of catching trains yea :)

Well for dinner went over McDonald's... Well something that I too missed since I left KK...


An Old Tasty Friend, El Quarter Pounderero!~

1 thing that all my friends who leave KK , across the board will agree upon is that we all miss KK food dearly lols XD


After that it was pretty late so we decided to over to a C.Cafe to chill for few hours yea. Hmm the last time I played in a C.Cafe was with them when I came back yea lols. Well after that, it was time to head back since it was late. I went over to Kenneth's place since his was nearer yea.
He & his sister, Pauline was up the whole night yea. They were going to thon a series show, by the 4th eppy I was KO'd so went to bed lols.

Hmm well yeah the 1st night of this 4 day return had end but yeah I'm glad I got to catch up with Su & Kenneth too.As I always said, Su... I dont get to talk to him as much as the others, considering he's one of my best friends.. but yeah everytime I see him again , there's not even a need to try to close the gaps of distance & time lost yea :). Hmm after having to tell him that I was going to be leaving again... it was really hard to hear from him that eventually all his childhood friends were leaving town next year. It wasn't talk "like 1 day in the future ..." , it was really true , alot of us were really leaving town... and yeah it sucks that when I think I left him behind... I mean KK honestly now, would be boring without your friends around despite whatever rosy picture you want to paint of it..I miss KK not because of places but yeah the friends rite, I'm sure every1 who left & came back to realise that too. Hmm yeah I wish I could do something to help out but yeah... I guess all I can do is just continue to keep in touch & never take it for granted yea.



2ndday: A Simple Kind Of Life

Woke up around 1130am & yeah had breakfast. Got to chat with Pauline since I was too zombie the night before yea lols, before heading out :)Well learned that the Asia City new mall has ... a skating rink !!!! Finally a new thing to do there, but wait... 1st off it's using roller blades... and it's on wax! Lame lols XD

After waking Kenneth up, went to Damai where I took a bus back to KK. Hmm yeah the bus system was just as wonderful as last time :P When I got to Cps it felt really unsafe for me, maybe it was being away too long, but it just feels pretty scary. In KK in general, going around alone was a really dumb & unsafe thing to do yea. I know anyone from KK will just roll their eyes since it sounds like common sense but yeah without a group of buddies, you were putting a warrant to get mugged. Yeah that's 1 thing that I don't see changing in awhile unfortunately since the fuzz in KK are really corrupted yea.


Neway enough rants, hmm saw the rm2.80 chicken rice stall... after all the KK changes with the buildings going up, prices going up, and nearly everyone in home has already left it... It felt so good to see that stall still doing well... Hmm yeah, it was the hmm pre-plan place to eat before we figured what we were going to do with the rest of the day last time...I'm really glad a piece of my youth is still there with all the changes going around KK.Yeah, I probably don't need any proof of the times spent at KK but still, it's kickass to have a place of nostalgia there :D

After CPS went for a family dinner. It was a Chinese restaraunt at Promenade. It had Chinese music all over, the weirdest part was when they actually did a Chinese instrumental version of Last Christmas, complete with all the flutes & chimes hahahs. Will wonders ever cease lols?

After that got to meet Alex & AeA over at YoYo which was still very much a hot spot at KK : )Well Alex had alotta peeps from Poly with him. It was good to see that hahah, yeah well AeA DQ'd since he couldn't make it for our match hahahas. Yeah maybe nxt time . Anyway yeah it awesome getting to see him & Alex again. Well caught up with them... They were going to be graduates next year ya lols :D.And well hahah actually AeA discussed moving over to Sg after graduation yea lols. Well , haha hmm that's at least I guess 1 thing I kind of always wanted since I moved here... to have 1 of my best friends from home to come here in Sg & just kick back in this place yea ... but it sucks that I'm actually going to be moving yea Zzz.. But anyway yeah hahaha glad to get to meet them up at last.


Around now, I realised that being away from home did change my perception of home.. I mean KK... it's just yeah well... I like the simple life but now I don't think it would be easy for me to fall back into it & love it whole-heartedly... So yeah maybe my view of KK changed... But hmm it's great that it didn't apply to my friends yea. Well yeah it was nice being back in home with the people I grew up, welll least until they move out.. But yeah until then, we'll always have KK yea :D

3rd Day: X-Rays,Reunions & Goodbyes

Well haha woke up early to do waht I essentially came back in such a rush for : the X-rays & medical check up for the Canada application yea lols.

Well since getting back I noticed by the end of this night that well my appetite was increased like 300% lols =)! Yeah, it must be the good food lols. Hmm speaking of which, suddenly there was this new Teh Special at the coffee shops hahah, its some new concotion that wasn't around the last time I was here which is pretty good :D

Well anyway after the X-Ray went to CPS to celebrate my sis b'day yea lols :D

Well while over at CPS, I went & got a mini X'mas tree for the SIDM X'mas party coming up lols. I was thinking the day was pretty much it since it was a monday & my friends had work & school yea.
So yeah went on to Damai; well at least was going to meet up with Sandra for lunch yea :D
Well yeah met her after her tution work hahah, yea we found this nice quiet place to grab lunch,well me anyways , she had a drink lols. Anyway was nice getting to catch up with her too lols after such a big year for her & the rest of the Form 6 gang yea with all the moving around. We talked about well hahah those around us & yeah it was great that I got to hear how some of them were doing this year yea.

I have to say 1 of the most liberating things this year was well just talking about all the drama & whatnot of my Sg life to her yea. I mean I can tell you that the biggest peeve of a long distance friendship was a lack of common ground to talk about. What I felt last time was that my friends at Sg would never get to meet my KK friends & vice versa so I never told either side about each. I just felt it was pointless last time , I know that sounds mean but I dont know, it just didn't seem to really matter if they weren't going to meet. But yeah it felt so good to confide with a friend from home about the things going on in my life there :D,showed her pics of my friends & explained about some of my best friends here at Sg. It wasnt a "Here's proof I'm doing so well at Sg", more like " I met some really nice people at Sg , and friendships that I will cherish, so yeah here's a chance for me to share with you about them yea" OKay yeah, I know that sounded uber cheesy right haha but yeah... it is what it is, I'm really glad got to talk with my KK friends this time around about my Sg friends yea :D

Anyway yea it was nice hearing she was doing better in KL now.. I mean from KK to KL is a big change, I don't think I could make it there, even though I'm staying in a metropolis city but there's something about KL that just intimidates me... It's like it got all hecticness of a citylife & all the danger of getting robbed from KK together, not exactly an ideal place to stay. But yeah hahah it's good to hear she was doing better since moving yea. Anyway well she paid for dinner since I didn't bring enough cash X.X I'm such a dumbass lols, nxt time will definitely be on me lols. After that her mom picked me up & sent me over to near my uncle's place for a 2nd dinner.

Well overall I have to say, it was really great talking with some1 who left home like me & was on a homecoming too. It was nice cause yeah those who move know not to take things for granted but yeah even coming back theres more things to be learnt too like how a return home was. Bah yeah it was cool seeing her before year ended & back to our lives back in our new places yea:)

Anyway well at Dama before lunch I checked out my blog & saw a comment from an old friend, Nigel, who was also returning to home as well. In the end yea, couldn't meet up with Nigel but hahah suprisingly things lead to me meeting Ian hahah.Well hahah yeah it's definitely super suprising & well yeah he was a good friend that I hadn't seen litterally in elephant years yea :D It's been 5++ odd & eventful years since I last saw him hahaha. Thought initially I had a problem on my hands as hmm I had called Su out & Ian at the same time but yeah Su was nice enough to wait for me to meet up with Ian, who was 1 of my closest friends in Primary school. Anyway haha yeah he looked around the same & had a different accent. Other than that, yeah Ian was pretty much the same easy to talk to guy, and yeah haha he too had to leave everything for a place no1 else from our year went too yea. But yeah it was really cool getting to see him after all things happened since SRS & hearing how he as doing since last saw him ya :)Well hey might be meeting him & Nigel at Sg around January actually lols

Well was sending Ian off with Su.. It was pretty surreal, haha 1 of my best friends during primary school with 1 of my best friends from secondary school were in the same place yea lols. Well yeah after Ian left went with Su, Kenneth & David to go yam cha :D.Well I owe them coming out on a limb to go & see me on my last night here upon their exams & work 2mr yea.

Well hmm 1 thing I realised with talking with AeA, Sandra & Su ... We were all veering into adulthood yea...Indeed we were getting old lols... I remember a time when topics were about how much the cyber cafe rates were, what movie we were seeing this week & school drama... Now we were talking about working overseas, finishing diplomas, friends overseas, prices of food & car fuel going up XD Adulthood seemed so daunting last time, but yeah when you're upon there, I guess you realise that you grow into adulthood gradually & it doesn't mean you lose everything you grow up with. It just means adapting to the changes going on yea. The years go by. The time, it does fly. Every single second is a moment in time that passes oh so quick and it seems like nothing. But when you’re looking back …well every second, it amounts to everything.
Hmm yea going miss Su & the rest... Su came through as he always did in the past again, & yeah it was good to know we still had each other's back. I mean .. at this moment, I just felt those familar feelings wash over yea. Well it felt like I had never left KK & still living over at Kolombong. And I can tell you, those are the kinda moments you live for. The feeling of knowing full well at the same time that you no longer stay in that place but you will always have a place in the town you grew up in among your friends is incomparable yea :)

4th Day: Finding Some Kind Of Resolve
The next morning my 4 day trip came to a close as I left on the morning flight yea. Hmm note to self, the cheapest place to get drinks? IN the airport lols, I saw Bailey's 1litre for just SGD32! Can't even find that size in stores, normal price for a 750ml bottle is SGD 60++ So yeah word to wise to any1 travelling to stock up eh lols?

Heck the plane had free wine, and I never had White so yeah got the chance and yeah there was good reason to celebrate to too yea lols. When I landed in KK there on this trip, there was something the attendant said on the plane that was simple & nice , "Selamat Pulang" : )









The Land Below The Winds~

Well hmm the feelings when I landed in Changi was waaay different than the last trip... I'll never forget how cold & felt like some part of me was really dead on arrival... I was torn last time because I well had to switch lifestyles again yea.

Coming back from this trip? Feelings were in high spirits : ) I felt cheery & even left my Digi number in my handphone for awhile after arriving back yea :D I guess I really learned in these 4 days to come to terms with coming back home & how it should be. I guess last time I was so desperately trying to relive all my KK life last trips, this time I realised I was comfortable with flying from Sg to KK & oso back. When I was on the plane, I realised there was no turning off either side actually. There was no need yea.

Most importantly... I guess I no longer felt like a traitor to every1 in KK... Yeah I know I said last time ... somehow when I was enjoying myself this year with friends in Sg... It just didn't sit well with my memories of my friends of KK.. I felt like I was betraying them by having fun here... I know that's twisted logic..

Sometimes I wonder if anything's absolute anymore. Is there still right and wrong? Good and bad? Truth and lies? Or is everything negotiable,left to interpretation, grey. Sometimes we're forced to bend the truth, transform it, cause we're faced with things that are not of our own making. And sometimes things simply catch up to us. Truth is still absolute. Believe that. Even when that truth is hard and cold, and more painful than you've ever imagined. And even when truth is more cruel than any lie.

In this case I guess the truth is more simpler; I thought that I would somehow forget my friends in KK eventually with enjoying myslef here. I feared that by having new friends coming in, it would just make the rift between us more real than in terms of distance. Basically, thse 4 days I learned how to deal with the time & distance lost between friends & how in the end, if we still had each other's back; than all the distance was jackshit & wouldn't be an issue :D

Nearing the end year & getting to find closure... I'd say, 4 days well spent :)
